Privacy Policy

Information We Collect

• Your name, email address, phone number, and shipping address when you place an order or create an account.
• Order history and the items in your cart.
• Basic technical information (browser type, pages viewed) for site analytics and debugging.
• Shipping quotes we showed you — the delivery state and ZIP, your cart total and item count, and the shipping prices offered — recorded against the random ID described under Cookies. We keep no street address or name on these records.
• Messages you send us through the contact form.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

How We Use Your Information

• To process and fulfill your orders, including sharing your address with the shipping carrier.
• To send order confirmations, shipping updates, password resets, and replies to your contact form messages.
• To improve the site, our products, and our customer service.
• To prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.

Sharing With Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We share only what’s necessary with these service providers, and only for the purpose of running our store:

• Shippo — shipping rate calculation, label generation, and tracking.
• Resend — transactional email delivery (order confirmations, shipping updates, password resets, contact form replies).
• Judge.me — display of product reviews on the storefront.
• Stripe — processing your payment at checkout. Card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers.
• Google Analytics — measuring how the site is used, including which products are viewed, added to a cart, and purchased.
• Meta (Facebook) — measuring which ads lead to orders. When you place an order we also send Meta a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email, phone, name, and city/state/ZIP so it can match the order to an ad click. Meta cannot read the original values from the scrambled version.

We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Dill Daddy Pickles or others.

Cookies

We use cookies for three things:

• Keeping the site working — staying signed in and remembering what’s in your cart. Your cart is stored in your own browser, not on our servers, until you start checking out.
• Understanding where checkout goes wrong — we set a cookie containing a random ID (no name, email, or account attached to it) so we can see things like how often someone is shown a shipping price and then leaves. If you later place an order, that ID is saved with the order, which lets us connect the two. It expires after 90 days, cannot be read by any script on the page, and is never shared with anyone else.
• Advertising and analytics — Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) pixel set cookies to measure which ads and pages lead to orders. These are advertising and analytics trackers run by those companies.

You can clear or block cookies at any time using your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on. Blocking them will not stop you from shopping or checking out.

Global Privacy Control. If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of advertising tracking. We will not load the Google Analytics or Meta trackers for you, and we will not send Meta any information about your order. You do not need to do anything else, and we keep honouring it on later visits. The cookie that remembers what’s in your cart and the record of the shipping prices we quoted you are unaffected — those are ours alone and are not shared with anyone.

Data Retention

We keep your account and order information for as long as your account exists or as required to fulfill orders, resolve disputes, and comply with our legal obligations.

The shipping-quote records described above are deleted automatically after 12 months. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete those records straight away, along with the ID that connects them to your orders.

Your Rights

You can request a copy of the information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email dan@dilldaddypickles.com and we’ll respond within 30 days.

Security

We use industry-standard measures — encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and limited-access databases — to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, but we take it seriously.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The “Last updated” date above will always show the most recent revision.
